Fun facts about me:
-
I moved to New Zealand by myself at 18 and lived there for a year. (I did Lord of the Rings tours before they were cool).
-
I’m a recovering perfectionist & people pleaser who now swears by “done is better than perfect”.
-
I love to travel. The next big trip I'm planning is to Scotland, hopefully in 2026.
-
I genuinely enjoy organizing CRMs. Yes, especially the messy ones with 97 overdue tasks and no workflows.
-
If you drop a Schitt’s Creek, Lord of the Rings, West Wing, or Star Trek reference on a Zoom call, we’re basically besties.

Hi, I’m Kayla
I started Kayla Droog Consulting in 2021 from my kitchen table with a big mug of tea, a million sticky notes, and a mission: to help overwhelmed business owners stop scrambling and start feeling supported behind the scenes.
After burning out in a toxic work environment (and realizing I’d rather build systems in yoga pants than chase someone else’s version of success), I combined my background in information management and client care with my love of all things organized, intentional, and just a little nerdy.
Since then, my work has evolved from done-for-you tech setup to something even more impactful: helping service-based business owners create sustainable systems they can actually maintain. Whether it’s mapping your client journey, setting up automations that don’t sound like a robot wrote them, or making sense of your messy back-end, I’m here to help you simplify your business in a way that feels good.
I created The Comfy Systems Club to be the kind of support I wish I had when I started—part tech tutorial, part systems mentorship, part cozy community. Because yes, you can have structured systems and a business that feels like yours.
When I’m not talking automations or celebrating your latest client win, you’ll find me reading fantasy novels, hiking, playing board games, or curled up with my two very opinionated cats.
Let’s make your business feel more comfy, one system at a time.
"Kayla has been an integral part of our studio's growth over the past year. When we couldn’t find out how to link our website to Google, she spent a day with us figuring it out, and we wouldn’t have gotten it fixed without her. Having her support is the best thing we could ever have asked for!"
